Let's face it. the only "certain" thing in life is death. I didn't ever "know" I would arrive at the tranquility I'm currently experiencing. I'm happy as I am "now," but "now" is a constantly moving thing. The time period I speak of is before I socially transitioned which was 7 years ago. I don't know that I ever thought of being Transgender as "special" except as an additional hurdle that had been placed in my path. That is not to say that the experience hasn't given me insights that others may not have, but to simply feel settled with "who I am" has been my main goal. Finding someone who also enjoys me as I am now has been icing on that cake!
