Interesting and enlightening article. As a transgender woman in the Arts, simply being in this field called my masculinity into question. My choice to pursue this career was somewhat intentional in that I always knew that I was Trans. Technical Mansplaining is one of my least favorite experiences and have tended to avoid spending time with engineers and tech nerds. I can’t imagine living in a world where those discussions are a version of contemporary chest thumping.
