I haven’t used my deadname in years. I used to turn my head if I heard someone say it to another person, but even that doesn’t happen anymore. My only attachments to my past are my children who still call me ‘Dad’ in private at my request. That’s who I am to them and I’m still very honored to have been that role in their lives.
