Great article. I may have heard the term asymptote, but forgot it as soon as geometry was over. (I hated Geometry)
I think there is something to what you say about approaching womanhood. I do think that regardless of how the world perceives us there are some experiences, history and capabilities that will always separate us from cisgender women. (Simply having a menstrual cycle for instance.) I will never go through child birth and won’t have many of the other experiences cisgender women have. On the other hand, they will not experience my journey. Being Transgender is a unique path. It is neither Cis male or Cis female. Perhaps our trajectory isn’t even on that asymptote at all!
