Dressing with intent is a good way to look at it. I was just at an off site corporate event as a hired freelancer, and I was struck by how some of the young women were dressed. Low cut tops, and incredibly dramatic make up from my perspective seemed to be sending the wrong message at a business event. They’re message seemed very clear, but I’m not sure they knew all the nuances of the message. When I see a woman trying very hard to get male attention in that environment, I read insecurity and confusion rather than confidence and purpose. Less make up and simple elegant attire go a long way and are the hallmark of a confident woman.
